Catherine Vale Wines - A Litle Bit of Italy, Hunter Valley

Dolcetto, Barbera and Arneis aren’t the only “little bits of Italy” you’ll find at Catherine Vale. Their calendar is packed with “Italian” tastes & experiences.

For those wanting to take home new tips, tricks & information there are three workshops on offer.

Saturday morning join the team from Il Cacciatore as you learn how to make two types of Gnocchi with two sauces; you’ll finish with a mini wine matching appreciation – leaving you an expert in the marriage of wine & gnocchi. $45pp Bookings essential.

Sunday the workshops will send you home with everything  you need to know about olives & olive oils. The morning session will take you through a tutored Olive Oil tasting & the afternoon looks at olives, how they are grown, cured & what makes a “good olive”. $15pp per workshop or $25 for both. Details here.

If you’re looking for fun, music & games, they have that covered too!

Friday Night, the Cellar Door will become a Cabaret Theatre hosting Nadia Piave’s Caffe D’Amore. Nadia will take you on a romantic and nostalgic trip to “Caffe d’Amore”, the magical mediterranean music cafe that lives in everyone’s heart… an Italian dinner with antipasto, lasagne, salad and dessert & wines will accompany the entertainment. $75pp. Bookings Essential & numbers limited.

Saturday there’ll be roving musicians, bocce tournaments, wine & Italian food to complete the day.

You’ll feel like you’ve taken an Italian holiday.
